Jim Donovan tries his very first Philadelphia Eagles "Bird Dog"
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The Birds postseason is about to take flight! On Saturday the Philadelphia Eagles take on the New York Giants in the divisional round of the NFL playoffs. And no one has the fever worse than our morning team. Our anchors Jim Donovan and Janelle Burrell are hungry for a playoff win. What better way to satisfy that craving than with a Bird Dog?
The Bird Dog is a Philadelphia original hot dog recipe from Dietz & Watson, featuring either a beef hot dog or a jalapeno cheddar frank. Both are topped with French fried onions, chopped Long Hots and provolone cheese, nestled into an Eagles-green roll.

Want to try a Bird Dog yourself? Keep your eye out for their Dietz and Watson truck. A food truck will be visiting different Philadelphia neighborhoods throughout the Eagles playoff run handing out free Bird Dogs. They will also be handing out a limited number of Bird Dogs-themed apparel including t-shirts and beanies.
