UPDATE: 2 Brothers Shot In Hunting Park; 1 Dead
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – One brother is dead and another is hospitalized after a shooting in the Hunting Park section Monday night.
Authorities say the incident happened at about 6:30 p.m. at the 3900 block of Percy Street.
According to Philadelphia police, a 23-year-old and a 20-year-old were both shot in the torso by a man armed with a shotgun.
Police say the brothers drove themselves to Temple University Hospital.
The 20-year-old was later pronounced dead.
The 23-year-old is listed in critical condition.
Police shut down three blocks in the neighborhood looking for the alleged gunman.
SWAT searched two homes and recovered two shotguns, but did not find the suspect.
Police believe the shooting may be related to a double stabbing in the same location Sunday night.
The incident remains under investigation.
