Details of New Year's Eve Fireworks on Delaware Riverfront Announced

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Philadelphia mayor Michael Nutter and Camden mayor Dana Redd today unveiled details for the annual New Year's Eve fireworks on the Delaware riverfront.
In the courtyard of Philadelphia City Hall today, Mayors Nutter and Redd and other officials took a practice run for the New Year's countdown as they announced the fireworks plan.
"The New Year's Eve fireworks will once again be presented at two times -- 6pm and midnight -- to accommodate families and folks who want to see the show and then go on to a different celebration, or just go on home to chill out," Nutter said.
And Mayor Redd said Camden's waterfront promenade is a great place to catch the festivities.
"This ideal Camden County park venue offers two continuous miles of beautifully maintained open space that provides the ideal location to watch the show with an unmatched view of the Philadelphia skyline," she said.
And officials say if you do come down to the Philadelphia side of the river, take mass transit, including the Philly Phlash bus.
As in past years, the soundtrack to those pyrotechnics will be carried on KYW Newsradio 1060.
