DeSean Jackson Speaks To Andy Reid, Teammates After Benching
PHILADELPHIA (AP) -- Eagles Pro Bowl receiver DeSean Jackson says he has spoken to coach Andy Reid and his teammates, and is ready to move forward after being deactivated Sunday because he missed a meeting.
Jackson didn't attend a special teams meeting Saturday morning and was told to stay home the next day. The Eagles lost to Arizona 21-17 to fall to 3-6 in a season that began with Super Bowl aspirations.
Jackson acknowledges he probably needs to do certain things better. He's in the final year of his rookie contract and made it clear he wants a new deal when he held out 11 days in training camp.
Jackson called the situation "tough" and says he has "to be a man about it and just learn from everything that happens."
