DeSean Jackson Says Redskins Fans Are More Supportive Than Eagles Fans
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) --- DeSean Jackson spent his first six NFL seasons in Philadelphia building his legacy---accumulating 6,117 receiving yards, 32 touchdowns, three Pro-Bowl's, and a walk-off punt return touchdown. Nevertheless, after only a few training camp practices in Washington D.C., Jackson says Redskins fans are more supportive than Eagles fans.
"It is different," Jackson told CSN Washington comparing Redskins fans and Eagles fans. "They're very supportive here. You know, they're open. You know, being out here on the field I've been hearing certain things, but they're good things. In Philly sometimes, things could have gotten a little negative. They booed their own players, but here you don't really get that. They're supporting you, they're out there. Just as many people that's here in the morning practice, came to our walk-through practice so that shows you something."
"They really are big fans and they support us," Jackson continued. "And every time I come out here, guys are screaming things at me. That's just a great fan base to really have."
Jackson returns to Philadelphia in week 3 on September 21st for a 1:00pm E.T. kickoff at Lincoln Financial Field. You get the feeling D-Jac may receive a boo, or two.
