DeSean Jackson Named NFC Offensive Player Of The Week
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Eagles wide receiver DeSean Jackson has been named NFC Offensive Player Of The Week for his performance in the Eagles 36-21 win over the New York Giants.
Jackson had seven catches for 132 yards and one touchdown against the Giants, and highlighted the performance by doing Victor Cruz's salsa touchdown dance as well.
Jackson is off to the best start of his career, with 28 catches for 525 yards and three touchdowns in five games.
The Cowboys' Tony Romo would have likely won the award if he didn't throw an interception in the closing minutes of their 51-48 loss to the Broncos. Romo had a career day, throwing for over 500 yards and five touchdowns.
