Dem Candidates Seeking Nomination For PA Governor Make One Last Pitch To Voters

By Mike Dougherty

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Candidates running for the Democratic nomination for Governor in Pennsylvania are canvasing the state, looking to connect with voters one last time before election day.

Voter turnout for Tuesday's primary election is expected to be low, so candidates are pounding the pavement in an effort to convince voters to show up to the polls.

Allyson Schwartz met with Philadelphia residents on the corner of Germantown and Chelten Avenues.

"This election is about who brings the experience, who really will get things done in Harrisburg."

In Roxborough, Tom Wolf greeted shoppers at a grocery store.

"Turnout, participation is a problem for American democracy. We need better turnout. We need more people to turnout at all elections. We have a chance for change."

Rob McCord spent Sunday on a bus tour of central Pennsylvania, and Katie McGinty has a number of campaign events scheduled through Tuesday.
