Wilmington Webb Correctional Escapee Surrenders
WILMINGTON, Del. (CBS) - Delaware State Police say the inmate who escaped from a Wilmington correctional facility Sunday afternoon has turned himself in to authorities.
Delaware State Police were searching for Steven Byrd, 22, after he managed to escape the Webb Correctional Facility in Wilmington at about 3 p.m.
Authorities say he walked away from the facility located on Greenbank Road. Police reported that after his escape, he was seen leaving an area Sears store.
