Delaware State Police Investigate Armed Robbery Of Mexican Food Market
CLAYMONT, Del. (CBS) - Delaware State Police are investigating an armed robbery of a Mexican food market.
Officials say the initial investigation has determined that the robbery occurred Tuesday night, at approximately 6:30 p.m., as four male suspects entered the El Charro Mexican Food Market, located at 3630 Bayard Drive in Claymont.
The suspects, two of which were armed with unknown make and model guns, then confronted a male employee and a female employee of the store and demanded money from the cash registers. The employees complied with the suspects' demands and turned over an undisclosed amount of cash to them.
All of the suspects then fled from the business and were last seen running in a westbound direction across Bayard Drive. There were no injuries.
Authorities describe the first suspect as a white male 16-20 years of age. He was last seen wearing a black jacket, black pants, white shoes, and had a mask covering his face. He was also armed with a gun.
The second suspect was described as an unknown race male 16-20 years of age. He was last seen wearing a black jacket, gray pants, and had a mask covering his face. He was also in possession of a gun.
The third suspect was described as a white male. He was last seen wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, light blue or grey jeans, white shoes, and had a mask covering his face.
The fourth suspect was described as an unknown race male. He was last seen wearing a red or maroon hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, red shoes, and also had a mask covering his face.
Officials say there is no other physical or clothing description available. No video surveillance photographs are available at this time.
