Delaware Police Uncover Marijuana Growing Operation
HOUSTON, Del. (AP) -- Delaware State Police have arrested a 25-year-old man after uncovering a sophisticated marijuana growing operation at his Houston home.
Police say Michael W. Fleetwood has been arrested and charged with trafficking marijuana, maintaining a dwelling for keeping controlled substances and possession of marijuana, among other offenses.
Authorities say a police task force found the growing operation during a search of Fleetwood's home in the 400 block of School Street on Monday. Police say they seized marijuana plants, high intensity ultraviolet lights, a regulated watering system and digital scales, among other items.
Fleetwood was being held at a correction facility in Smyrna on an $8,000 secured bond.
