Delaware Police Searching For Suspect In Two 7-Eleven Robberies
WILMINGTON, Del (CBS) – Delaware State Police are reaching out to the public for help in the search for a male suspect who robbed two 7-Eleven stores in the same morning in April.
Both robberies occurred in the early morning hours on Sunday, April 22, 2012. During the first incident at the 7-Eleven at 3700 Kirkwood Highway, the suspect approached a male employee standing outside the store and forced him back inside the business before demanding money from the cash register. The victim gave the suspect an undisclosed amount of money from the cash register, and the suspect fled the store.
In the second incident at 2510 Kirkwood Highway, the same suspect entered the store and vaulted the sales counter where a 52-year-old employee was working. The suspect attempted to assault the clerk and then got away with a second amount of cash.
Neither clerk was injured during the robberies.
The suspect is described as a white male, 20-30 years of age, between 6'0 and 6'3" tall and 180-200 lbs. He was wearing a black t-shirt and blue jeans and had a white t-shirt over his face to conceal his identity.
