Delaware Police Arrest Suspect In Elderly Killing
NEW CASTLE, Del. (AP) -- A 23-year-old Wilmington woman has been charged with murder in the stabbing death of a 73-year-old New Castle County man.
Police said Thursday that detectives arrested Ashley Richardson on outstanding warrants, and linked her to the death of Reginald Sudler after questioning her and reviewing evidence.
Richardson has been charged with murder and weapon-related offenses.
Sudler was found dead inside his Gordon Heights home Wednesday night. Police said there were signs of a struggle in the home, and that Sudler's car was missing.
Investigators later learned that Richardson had been driving the car when it was involved in accident on Dec. 9 in Wilmington.
