Delaware Man Charged With Choking, Beating Pregnant Girlfriend
WILMINGTON, Del. (AP) -- New Castle County Police have charged a Newark man with choking and beating his pregnant girlfriend.
It happened Thursday about 12:55 p.m. in Wilmington. Officers found the victim hiding with her young daughter inside the home. She told police her boyfriend grabbed her, straddled her stomach, choked her and punched her several times. The victim had numerous injuries but declined medical treatment.
Twenty-four-year-old Paul Henretty has been charged with strangulation, assault and other offenses. He is being held on $6,750 secured bond.
