Delaware Man Arrested For Robbing Dollar Store
MAGNOLIA, Del. (CBS) -- Delaware State Police have arrested suspect for a robbery that occurred on April 17th.
Jeffrey McCann, 32, of Smyrna, was arrested Wednesday evening for robbing a Dollar General Store located in the Link Side Shopping Center in Magnolia, Delaware.
It is reported that at approximately 6:20 p.m. a 5 foot 10 inch white male weighing about 170 lbs entered the Dollar General displaying a handgun.
He approached the counter employee demanding money from the cash register.
The employee obeyed the suspect's wishes, giving him an undisclosed amount of cash.
Reports say that the employee was not injured.
Police report that after obtaining a search warrant they found a black BB gun, gauze pads, an ace bandage, an undisclosed amount of money, and .06 grams of suspected Heroin in McCann's vehicle.
Jeffrey McCann has been charged with robbery, possession of a firearm, among possession of drug paraphernalia, among other things.
The suspect is currently committed to Sussex Correctional Institute under a bail of $109,500.
