Delaware Fire Marshal Investigating Vehicle Arson In Newark
NEWARK, Del. (CBS) – The Delaware State Fire Marshal's office is looking into the arson of a vehicle in Newark that happened early Thursday morning.
Around 2 a.m., state fire investigators responded to the 100 block of Spruce Glen Drive in Meadowood near Capitol Trail, where a vehicle was discovered on fire in front of a home.
The Mill Creek Fire Company responded, and fire investigators determined that a person had attempted to destroy the car via an incendiary device, which was recovered at the scene.
The fire resulted in an estimated $1,000 of damage.
