Delaware Duo Arrested For Thornbury Township Theft
THORNBURY TOWNSHIP, Pa. (CBS) – A married couple is behind bars, accused of stealing jewelry and a credit card from a Thornbury Township resident.
On Feb. 21, a resident of the 700 block of East Street Road reported a theft from his residence to police. A credit card and jewelry had been stolen between Feb. 11 and 19th, and the credit card had been used to make unauthorized purchases in Delaware.
Detectives investigated the incident, and determined that the credit card had been used by Eric McBride, 36, and Jennifer McBride, 18, both of Delaware. Eric McBride had worked for a contractor who had access to the home during the time of the theft.
The McBrides had reportedly charged $83.41 to the credit card, and the stolen jewelry, worth $300, has yet to be returned or recovered.
On Feb. 23, detectives were able to arrest Eric and Jennifer McBride for criminal conspiracy, access device fraud, identity theft, theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property. Bail was set at $7,500 for Eric McBride and $2,500 for Jennifer McBride.
The preliminary hearing for the married couple is scheduled for March 1st, 2012.
