Delaware County Sunday School Teacher Faces Child Pornography Charges

PARKSIDE, Pa., (CBS) - A Delaware County man, working with children as a Sunday school teacher and a basketball coach, is now facing child pornography charges.
Steven Almond, 54, of Parkside, is a deacon for Middletown Presbyterian Church, a Sunday school teacher and basketball coach.
But according to the criminal complaint, investigators went to Almond's home a few weeks back and seized four computers, a hard drive, a couple of USB drives, three cell phones and 22 CDs and DVDs. Police saying they found more than 50 videos of child pornography, some showing kids who appear to be less than five years old.
An arrest warrant was issued, and Almond surrendered to police. He's charged with possession of child pornography and held on $350,000 bail.
As for his role as a teacher and coach, Almond told police he never had inappropriate contact with children.
