Delaware Authorities Make 6th Arrest In Burglary Case
WILMINGTON, Del. (AP) - Authorities say a sixth person has been arrested in a Thanksgiving weekend burglary in which $100,000 in items were taken from a Greenville home.
New Castle County police spokesman Officer John Weglarz Sr. says 24-year-old Brett Riley of Mill Creek was arrested. Riley was charged Dec. 24 with receiving stolen property, possession of burglary tools, criminal mischief and conspiracy.
Authorities say suspects left with expensive jewelry, coin collections, signed sports memorabilia, electronics, cash and personal records after a Nov. 26 burglary at a home near Winterthur.
The case was cracked after a business credit card from one of the victims was declined at a gas station for lack of a ZIP code and authorities were alerted.
