Del. Man Charged With Hotel Robbery, For 4th Time
NEWARK, Del. (AP) -- Police in Delaware say a man charged with robbing a Newark motel three times in December has struck again— at the same motel.
Delaware State Police said Monday that 38-year-old Daniel Prouse of New Castle is being charged with robbery and with violating the terms of his release after he robbed the Comfort Suites in Newark on Sunday. Prouse had already been charged with robbing the motel on Dec. 9, Dec. 12 and Dec. 20.
Police say Prouse arrived at the motel on Sunday just before 10 p.m. and demanded money from a clerk behind the motel's counter. A trooper patrolling the area later saw Prouse, who matched the description of the robber. When the officer conducted a search, a bag of money was located in Prouse's pocket.
