Del. Man Charged With Threatening Ex, Burglary

WILMINGTON, Del. (CBS) - A Delaware man was arrested after he allegedly broke into an ex-girlfriend's apartment and threatened to kill her.

Kevin Taylor, 41, is facing several charges after the incident that occurred Saturday evening at an apartment in the unit block of Lowry Drive in the Woodland Apartments.

According to investigators, Taylor forcibly pushed open her kitchen window and entered her apartment.

According to the victim, after she had noticed that Taylor had gained entry into the apartment, she ran toward the front door to escape, but Taylor caught up to the victim and prevented her from leaving. Taylor then grabbed the victim and pushed her up against a wall, prior to threatening to kill her.

When the victim mentioned that she was going to call the police, Taylor fled the home.

It was later learned that Taylor was in violation of a domestic violence protection order. Taylor was taken into custody at his home without incident.

Taylor has been charged with burglary in the second degree, unlawful imprisonment in the second degree, terroristic threatening, criminal contempt of a domestic violence protection order, offensive touching and two counts of criminal mischief.

He was arraigned and committed to the Howard Young Correctional Institute after failing to post $7500 cash bail and was ordered to have no contact with the victim.
