Del. Man Arrested For March Burglary

NEWARK, Del. (AP) -- A Delaware man wanted in connection with a burglary last month has been arrested after police responded to a reported suspicious vehicle and found him inside.

Kyle Evans was arrested Friday night by New Castle County police.

Authorities say they responded to reports of a suspicious vehicle in Scottfield and found Evans inside, slumped over the center console with the motor running. Police say he appeared to be under the influence of prescription drugs and reached for a knife in his pocket after he was roused.

Evans had been considered a suspect in a March burglary in Newark in which money and jewelry was stolen from a home.

Evans faces charges including second-degree burglary, carrying a concealed deadly weapon, conspiracy and criminal mischief. He was released after posting $2,100 bond.
