Del. Burger King Manager Charged With Plotting Robbery
NEWARK, Del. (AP) -- Delaware State Police have arrested a woman they say plotted a robbery at the fast-food restaurant she managed.
Thirty-one-year-old Tina Riddle of Elkton, Md. has been charged with robbery and conspiracy. She is being held in lieu of $51,000 bail.
Police say Riddle and two employees had just opened the Burger King Restaurant in Newark early Tuesday when two men with handguns came in. They ordered Riddle to open the safe and fled with an undisclosed amount of money.
Police, after watching video footage of the crime on the restaurant's surveillance system, said that Riddle had prior knowledge of the robbery and had taken part in it.
