Decomposed Body Found In Bucks County Lumber Yard; Cause Of Death Ruled As Suicide
By Molly Daly
MORRISVILLE, Pa., (CBS) -- Bucks County authorities say the cause of death has been ruled as suicide in the discovery of a decomposed body near the New Jersey border of Bucks County late Saturday afternoon.
The man was dead three to five months before his remains were found in an abandoned lumber yard (see related story).
"He had a wallet with no ID, and $10 in it," Bucks County coroner Joseph Campbell said.
Campbell has determined the cause of the unidentified man's death was suicide by a single gunshot wound to the head. Campbell says identifying the man, who was about 6'1" and 40 to 50-years-old, will be especially difficult.
"There was no evidence of any dental work being present, and for us to identify someone via dental work, we pretty much have to have somewhat of an idea who it is to begin with to track down the dental records from his prior dentist," Campbell said.
Anyone with information is asked to call Falls Township Police at 215-302-3315.
