Debut of 3-D Film Postponed
by KYW's Lynne Adkins
Liberty 360, a 3-dimensional film featuring Ben Franklin on a 360-degree panoramica screen was to begin during the city's big July 4th weekend, but Amy Needle, president and CEO of Historic Philadelphia says the debut has been pushed back.
"We're a little behind schedule in terms of construction, but we're planning a great opening for later this summer."
Just when that opening will be is still not clear. When it is up and running the 12 minute film will run every 20 minutes, all day all year at 6th and Chestnut Streets. Needle says this project and the revamping of the outdoor Lights of Liberty Show, which is to return next spring, will cost about $10 million.
