Dead Brides, Witches & Dragons At Mount Airy Halloween Parade
MOUNT AIRY, Pa. (CBS) -- Hundreds of costumed trick-or-treaters paraded throughout a Mount Airy neighborhood for the community's annual Halloween Day Parade. And as KYW's Cherri Gregg reports, it was a goblin of a good time!
The Henry School at Sherman and Carpenter was a sight to see on Halloween night. There were dead brides, witches, pumpkins, dragons -- you name it. Some of the costumes were classic.
Reporter: "Who are you supposed to be today?"
Ester: "A princess."
Others were high tech.
And some folks didn't wear costumes, so they had to do a trick.
David owns a house at one of the key blocks, he says he loves that his neighborhood takes Halloween to the next level.
"Right now, I'm giving out Twizzlers, but we can give out 300 pieces of candy a night at this corner. So we have more than 20 bags of candy."
So what's the most popular candy?
"The patties, the peanut butter patties. They go really fast."
