Darby Borough Police Chief Says Main Concern Now Is High Winds

DARBY BOROUGH, Pa. (CBS) -- Darby Borough in Delaware County usually gets flooded during major weather events. Borough officials gave an update Monday evening.
Police Chief Robert Smythe says that at one point Tuesday, 1,600 people were without power and over 100 homes had to be evacuated.
He says right now, they're not expecting flooding.
"Going to receive another inch or two of rain between now and 8 o'clock tomorrow morning. Our concern now is high winds. If we only receive another inch or two of rain, I don't expect to have any flooding at all in Darby Borough. Could change if we get four or five inches of rain," Smythe explains.
He also says feels like they "dodged a bullet," but "anything could happen in Darby Borough."
