Dana White Says UFC Will Return To Philly
By: Brian Haddad
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - In Philadelphia, most fans bleed "four for four." Eagles, Phillies, Flyers, and Sixers. For many of us though, there's a fifth, and I'm not talking about dodgeball.
Fighting.
It's as traditional a sport as there is.
I had the awesome opportunity to talk to the President of the UFC, Dana White, on the eve of their pay-per-view event, UFC 161.
As it turns out, White is a fan of Philadelphia. "We've been to Philly a few times, and Philly's an awesome market for us," White said. "Not to mention the fact that Philly is a huge fight town. Roots all the way back to boxing. We've had great results there."
He also leaked when they will return with a fight event to the city. "Probably next year. I love Philly man. I love doin' the fights there. I love it as a city. I love the Philly cheesesteak egg rolls that they make at the Four Seasons hotel. I love everything about Philly," he said.
