Dad Delivers Baby Boy On Route 202 In Chester County

MORGANTOWN, Pa. (CBS) – When you see how peacefully baby Adam is sleeping, you'd have no idea how exciting his arrival was for his mom and dad.
Baby Adam, with the help of his dad, came into the world at milepost 10.4, along the busy lanes of Route 202 in West Goshen Tuesday night.
"Every trip to the airport is going to involve a, 'You were born right there,'" said mom, AmyBeth Hanna.
"We're just thankful to God the baby came safely," said dad, Shaun Hanna.
On Tuesday, the parents dashed out of their Morgantown home and were headed to Chester County Hospital, hoping Adam would wait.
"As we were getting closer, she kept asking me, 'Can you pass that car?'" Shaun said. "We were both praying out loud, 'Lord, hold this baby in.'"
But little Adam had other ideas.
"I realized there was no way he was waiting, he was on his way out," said AmyBeth.
Shaun pulled over to the side of Route 202, and as he waited for paramedics to arrive, he was guided by the words of a 911 dispatcher and welcomed his son into the world.
"She pushes and I catch the baby and it comes out just all at once," said Shaun.
"It almost doesn't seem like it really happened, but he's here and we're just so thankful," said AmyBeth.
