Crews Release Water From Union Lake Dam In Cumberland County
MILLVILLE, N.J. (CBS) - Workers in Cumberland County are releasing water from the Union Lake Dam that accumulated during Hurricane Irene over the weekend.
Crews were on site a little before noon lowering the dam near the Sharp Street Bridge in Millville.
Authorities have notified residents in the area that may be affected to temporarily evacuate and to limit travel on the roads.
Unlike some areas which sustained damage, there was no structural damage done to the bridge or dam.
