Crews On Scene Of Natural Gas Leak In Philadelphia
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Crews are on the scene fixing a natural gas leak in the Logan section of the city.
The incident occurred just after noon Saturday at 16th Street and Olney Avenue.
Officialsy say crews arrived to the scene at 12:20 p.m. after receiving a report of an odor.
Crew workers confirmed a natural gas leak coming from underneath the street.
A block on 16th street was evacuated by police and fire crews.
SEPTA says buses 18 and 26 will be detoured while crews work to fix the leak.
Philadelphia Gas Works says it will work on fixing the gas main for the rest of the day.
