Craft Show Features Works By Renowned Artists
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Creations from the best craft artists in the country are on display this weekend at the Pennsylvania Convention Center during the Philadelphia Museum of Art Craft Show.
The show features 90,000 square feet of fine crafts from around the country, with a special section featuring work by German artists. The 34th annual Museum of Art Craft Show offers everything from furniture to architectural sculpture to designer crafts and dresses for show and sale.
Show manager Nancy O'Meara says, "Things are expensive because they are one-of-a-kind hand-made. These items have not been made in China. They're not mass-produced. It's art. This is a great place to do holiday shopping."
Listen to Karin Phillips' podcast:
Craft show chair Marta Adelson says, "You really have to take in the whole show to see everything. There's so many different media to see. There's jewelry, there's wood, there's ceramic."
The craft show is at the Convention Center through Sunday.
