Craft Fair Runs Through Sunday in Center City's Rittenhouse Square

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Dozens of artists have set up tents on Rittenhouse Square for a craft fair that runs through the weekend.
Paul Yacoe makes puzzle boxes out of exotic wood. They come in all kinds of shapes -- everything from hearts to guitars.
He says it takes a little thought to get them open.
"You lift the little key or lock out, slide the top, lift the little inner lid, and then you're in the box. And in this particular one it has a little shelf in it so you can lift that and see the bottom part of it."

Chelsea Fair (below) is a glassblower.
"These are done with glass color that we crush up to the consistency of powder," she says, "and then we sift it on. And then we'll blow it and shape it."

Fair is among the dozens of artists brought in by show director Nick Mohler.
"We have 140 craftsmen, and they're doing everything from jewelry... all the work made by the person who is here in the booth, selling the work. We have furniture makers, potters," Mohler says.
The fair drew large crowds early Friday afternoon. That's a good sign for organizers, who are hoping that a big city venue will lead to big sales for the artists.
