Not All Cosmetic Surgery Lasts A Lifetime
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Many of us search for the fountain of youth in the office of a plastic surgeon.
What we may not know is that not all of those procedures are one and done.
If you're having rhinoplasty -- work done on your nose -- you can consider that a fix for life according to Dr. Daniel Westawaski, a plastic surgeon with Einstein Medical Center Montgomery:
"Things like neck lifts typically last 15-20 years, face lifts…people like the results so much they come back after a decade and have something touched up because now they're ten years older and they've lost more volume."
The most common procedures now are fillers and injections such as Botox, Juvederm and Voluma.
He says they're popular for people from their 20's thru their 80's, but some products only last a few months, so keeping up with the look requires a commitment.
