Coronavirus Latest: Temple University Implementing Hiring Freeze, Cutting Leaders' Salaries Due To COVID-19
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The coronavirus pandemic is forcing Temple University to make some cuts. The school says it's lost significant revenue due to canceled conferences and events as well as refunds to students for unused housing, meal plans and parking charges.
The university will also implement a hiring freeze and temporarily cut the salary for its leaders by 10% starting next month.
Some other high-earning employees will see 5% pay cuts.
