Corbett Campaign Welcomes Christie Support

HARRISBURG, Pa., (CBS) -- In the wake of "bridgegate", some vulnerable politicians might distance themselves from New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, at least for the time being.
But Pennsylvania Governor Tom Corbett says Christie is welcome to campaign for him anytime.

Governor Corbett's campaign manager Mike Barley said Friday that Christie's handling of the revelations about George Washington Bridge traffic jams are a credit to his leadership.
"I believe that he exhibited exactly why the people of New Jersey re-elected him. He takes bold and decisive action. He's a great leader and we welcome his support this year as Governor Corbett runs for re-election," Barley said.
The Democratic Party of Pennsylvania pounced, releasing a statement characterizing the poll-challenged Corbett as desperate, saying it appears that Corbett will "shamelessly relish the campaign support of almost anyone." Barley fires back by saying Christie's decisive handling of this situation is in stark contrast to the way President Obama has handled embarrassing issues.
