Cops: Upper Darby Mom Who Locked Mentally Impaired Son Outside In Cold Turns Self In
UPPER DARBY, Pa. (CBS/AP) — Police say a woman who they say locked her mentally impaired son out of the house when wind chill temperatures were near zero has turned herself in.
Upper Darby police obtained a warrant Thursday for the arrest of Karima Tolbert.
Chief Michael Chitwood says the 34-year-old Tolbert locked her 18-year-old son out of their home in freezing temperatures when wind chills hit 2 degrees. He didn't say when the incident happened.
She is expected to be arraigned Friday night on a charge of recklessly endangering another person.
