Cops: Man Arrested In Case Of Woman Found Dead At Del. Playground
WILMINGTON, Del. (CBS) – A Delaware man has been arrested for allegedly murdering a woman whose body was discovered at a Wilmington playground.
Police say they picked up 34-year-old Gary Perkins without incident Thursday night. He was allegedly in a relationship with the victim.
Perkins is awaiting arraignment on charges that he killed 29-year-old Jamie Murphy.
Officials say police found Murphy unresponsive on a piece of playground equipment at Camby Park Thursday morning. She was pronounced dead by paramedics on the scene.
Authorities say Perkins is accused of having violent encounters with the victim in the past.
