Constitution Center Names Gallery For Bush 41
PHILADELPHIA (AP) — The National Constitution Center will display copies of the nation's three founding documents in a new gallery named for former President George H.W. Bush.
U.S. Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito will be among the dignitaries offering remarks at the gallery opening in Philadelphia on Monday.
Bush was the nation's 41st president and once served as chairman of the Constitution Center. He won't attend the event, but his son Jeb Bush plans to be there.
Jeb Bush is the former governor of Florida and current chairman of the Constitution Center.
Later this year, the gallery will host an exhibit featuring copies of the Declaration of Independence, Constitution and Bill of Rights.
The Constitution Center is dedicated to increasing public understanding of the Constitution and the ideas and values it represents.
