Consistent Spring Weather Ahead
By Justin Drabick
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Our average high temperature for this time of year is in the low 60s, but will remain above average over the next five days. The forecast stays quiet for tonight and Thursday as high pressure controls our weather.
Skies will be mostly clear tonight allowing for lows to remain on the chilly side in the lower 40s. As the high pressure area slides off the coast on Thursday, southwesterly winds will push in milder air form the south. Expect sunny skies with highs above average in the upper 60s, and it will be breezy with winds around 10-20 mph in the afternoon.

Friday remains mild but a cold front will bring more clouds and a chance for a few showers later in the day. It will still be mild with highs again in the upper 60s. It looks like we will have back to back nice weekends with sunshine on Saturday and Sunday.
Expect highs above average near 70 on Saturday and the low 70s on Sunday as a ridge in the jet stream allows warmer air to return. Monday will be the warmest day ahead of our next cold front with highs possibly reaching the mid 70s, depending on how much sun we see.
Don't get used to the warmth as it is still early spring and out weather pattern remains active. So expect periods of mild weather followed by a few brief cool downs this month. Another cold front will come through on Tuesday with rain and cooler temperatures for next week.
