Community Tip Leads To Firearm Arrests In Del.

WILMINGTON, Del. (CBS) - Two convicted felons were arrested with firearms early Saturday morning in Wilmington, Delaware after community members tipped off police, according to authorities.
The investigation began around 12:45 a.m. when police received a 911 call reporting a subject armed with a gun.
Police found the suspects in the 1000 block of Elm Street. The one suspect, 19-year-old Daronce Beulah (pictured above), left the group and discarded a loaded 9mm handgun. Police stopped Beulah after a foot chase and located 23 bags of heroin in his possession.
Police stopped the remaining individuals and located a .25 caliber handgun on a 17-year-old male. An investigation revealed the handgun was reported stolen.
Beulah and the juvenile are convicted felons. They were both charged with possession of a deadly weapon by a person prohibited, possession of a firearm within 10 Years of a prior conviction, and carrying a concealed deadly weapon among other charges.
Both were arraigned and held in lieu of bail.
