Comic Book Convention Returns To Philadelphia For 11th Year
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Comic book lovers are converging by the thousands at the Pennsylvania Convention Center this weekend.
About 30,000 people are expected to attend the 11th annual comic convention, at the Convention Center through Sunday.
"Wizard World is the largest national tour of comic cons (conventions) throughout North America," says Gareb Shamus (right), CEO of Wizard World.
And while there are a lot of things here for sale -- like comic books -- Shamus says there's also a lot to do:
"You can go to panels and listen to people talk about what they do and how they do it. There's a lot of gaming tournaments that go on throughout, and then there's a lot of stuff to buy, and you can meet all your famous artists and writers to get their autograph and meet them and talk to them."

And those who attend Comic Con do so in style, of course.
(Kuznits:) "What inspires you to dress up and come to Comic Con?"
(Woman dressed as pirate:) "It's fun -- it's a unique experience to be something else, somebody else, even if it's only for an afternoon."
