College Basketball: Explorers Headed to St. Louis
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - La Salle University will look to snap its two-game mini-losing streak on Wednesday night as they visit St. Louis.
Last time out, on Saturday, the Explorers lost to Dayton, 85-81. That dropped them to 11-13 on the season.
La Salle head coach Dr. John Giannini says the key to getting back on the winning track is mental consistency, something that has been elusive for his team in 2010-2011.
"It's an intangible that we've just struggled with," he told KYW Newsradio. "But we have talent, we have good kids, and we have good potential. We are right there against good teams, so hopefully we get a little bit better."

St. Louis is 8-14 this season, and Giannini says the Billikens like to control the tempo of the game defensively.
"They don't let you run on them. They are going to make it hard to get a good shot, and as a result you often end up going into the shot clock and before you know it you're in a 50-something-point game," he said.
St. Louis has dropped three of its last four heading into Wednesday.
