College Basketball: Drexel, Licking Hofstra Wounds, Heads To VCU
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- After a frustrating loss to Hofstra University on Monday night, the Drexel Dragons will get right back to work on Wednesday evening, paying Virginia Commonwealth a visit.
Dragons' head coach Bruiser Flint says he was disappointed in the 75-69 defeat to Hofstra.
"We didn't play particularly well," he acknowledged to KYW Newsradio. "Hofstra outscrapped us, and that disappointed me a little bit. But we have to turn right around and get down to VCU."

The Rams are 9-5, and Flint says they are good.
"One of the things they do is shoot a lot of three-point shots," said Flint. "They are a very experienced team -- they probably have one of the best point guards, an all-conference player, Joey Rodriguez. They got a big kid, Jamie Skeen, who can score around the basket. So they are pretty balanced. They press you all over the floor, that's one thing they do. So it's going to be another one of those games where we have to take care of the basketball."
While VCU likes to shoot from behind the arc (37 percent on nearly 24 attempts per game), the Dragons are doing a great job of defending the three. Opponents have been shooting just 25 percent from three-point positions against Drexel this season.
Even with that Monday night loss to Hofstra, the Dragons are still off to a strong 9-3 start this season. They are 1-1 in the CAA.
