Code Orange Air Quality Alert Issued For New Jersey
MOUNT HOLLY, N.J. (CBS) – The National Weather Service says the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection has issued a Code Orange Air Quality Alert for multiple locations.
A alert goes into effect Thursday.
A Code Orange Air Quality Alert means the air pollution concentrations may become unhealthy for certain people including children, those with asthma, heart disease or lung disease and the elderly.
Officials say the effects of air pollution can be lessened by avoiding outdoor exercising and strenuous activities.

- Camden
- Cape May
- Coastal Atlantic
- Coastal Ocean
- Cumberland
- Eastern Monmouth
- Gloucester
- Hunterdon
- Mercer
- Middlesex
- Morris
- Northwestern Burlington
- Ocean
- Salem
- Somerset
- Southeastern Burlington
- Sussex
- Warren
- Western Monmouth
