Coach Reid Says Only Next Sunday (Cowboys) Matters
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- After five days off, the Eagles returned to practice today to get ready for their game in Dallas on Sunday night.
Andy Reid says his defense will get two starters back on Sunday, in cornerback Asante Samuel and defensive end Juqua Parker.
"They are a big part of our defense," Reid told reporters on Wednesday. "Both of them have great personalities, and they are both veteran players and had success in this league, so we welcome them back."
Reid also noted that right tackle Winston Justice (hyperextended knee) would be only player not to practice on Wednesday, with King Dunlap to fill in.
The Cowboys bat the Eagles three times last season, crushing them in the final two match-ups. Reid says, however, only the present matters now:
"We're not worried about what happened last year, or in the future, or anything else. It's all about right now and making sure that we focus in on right now and exhaust that process of getting ready to play a good football team."
Eagles will bring an 8-4 record into Sunday night. Dallas is 4-8.
