Philadelphia Named One Of The Country's Best Beer Towns
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Philly Beer Week is on the horizon, but beer drinkers in the City of Brotherly Love now have something else to celebrate.
CNN Travel has just named Philadelphia one of the top beer towns in the county, and this isn't the first time our suds scene has been recognized.
Philly came in six out of eight, just behind Denver and ahead of Bend, OR (who knew?).
The article cites city institutions such as McGillin's, as well as relative newcomers to the craft beer scene like Memphis Taproom and Grey Lodge Pub.
Winners were scored one to ten for history, breweries, bars and events.
Portland ranked number one, followed by San Francisco and San Diego.
