Claude Giroux Suffers Lower Body Injury On First Day Of Training Camp
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) --- It hadn't even been 15 minutes into training camp, and Flyers captain Claude Giroux was already leaving the ice with an injury on Friday. Not a good start to the season, to say the least.
Around 11:30am, the Flyers announced that Giroux has a lower-body injury and is being re-evaluated.
Giroux is coming off a season where he was a Hart Trophy finalist, playing all 82 games, racking up 28 goals and 58 assists.
Updated: Flyers GM Ron Hextall announced Giroux will be out approximately two weeks.
