Claude Giroux Game-Time Decision Tonight Vs. Ottawa

By Matt Leon

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) --- For the first time in 2015 the Flyers will skate at the Center as they welcome the Ottawa Senators to South Philadelphia.

The Flyers just completed an eight-game road trip, going 3-4-1. Things started well as they won the first three games, but then they dropped the final five games, including one in overtime. Last time out on Saturday, the Flyers lost in New Jersey to the Devils, 5-2.

Philadelphia is 14-18-7 this season. With 35 points, they are tied for sixth in the eight team Eastern Conference.

Ottawa is 16-15-7. That's good for 39 points and seventh place in the Atlantic Division. The Senators feature Cherry Hill, New Jersey, native Bobby Ryan. The forward has 11 goals this season.

On the injury front for the Flyers, forward Claude Giroux will be a game-time decision as he deals with that cut on the back of his leg.

KYW's Matt Leon spoke with Sam Carchidi of the Philadelphia Inquirer about the struggles for the Flyers and tonight's match-up.
