Civil War Road Show Stops In Philadelphia Through July 4th
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – The Civil War Road Show is in Philadelphia.
The Road Show is a free, state-wide exhibit about Pennsylvania during the Civil War. It is based in a 53-foot trailer and has hands-on, interactive displays features the voices of the people and scenes of home life during the war.
"We're trying to tell a different side of the Civil War, a side that many people may not know about. And that's really the home front of Pennsylvania during the Civil War. We talk about women's roles during the Civil War, African-Americans' roles in the Civil War," says Project Manager John Seiter.
In addition to the Road Show, there are free performances and appearances by President Abraham Lincoln and Civil War re-enactors. The Road Show and performances will be in Franklin Square through July 4th.
