Looking Around The City 6 In College Hoops
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The weather has played havoc with the weekend local college basketball schedule, but while the days and times have changed, the great match-ups remain the same.
No. 4 Villanova will host No. 16 Providence on Sunday at the Center. The Wildcats are 17-2 while the Friars are 16-3.
Temple welcomes No. 8 and undefeated SMU to the Liacouras Center on Sunday at noon. The Owls are 10-7. Last season SMU beat Temple three times.
La Salle and St. Joe's will meet at 5:00pm at Gola Arena on Sunday. The Explorers are 5-11 and they have lost 10 of 11. The Hawks are at the other end of the spectrum, sitting at 15-3 and riding a four-game winning streak.
Drexel's game with UNCW at the DAC has been moved from Saturday night to Sunday at noon. The Dragons are really struggling at 3-15.
Penn is off this weekend. In fact, the 6-9 Quakers don't return to the court until next Friday, January 29th, when they visit Yale.
